Because the light of each afternoon is different, there are unrepeatable sunsets. In Granada, the last hour of the day always has a special colour. Especially in winter, when the sky is redder and the sunset longer.
The best place to see all of Granada at dusk is from the viewpoint of San Miguel Alto church, the highest point of the city. The old town, the Alhambra palace and Sierra Nevada Mountains can be perfectly appreciated from this hill.
The San Nicolás viewpoint is one of the most popular places to enjoy sunsets in Granada. It is located in the Albaicín neighborhood, and has stunning views of La Sabika hills and the Alhambra. The Generalife, the Comares Tower and the Nasrid palaces show her most beautiful face from this place. Furthermore, street artists and flamenco lovers come to this square at the end of the day and create a lively atmosphere.
On the other hand, if you are strolling around the Old Town when the sun is about to disappear, do not hesitate to approach the Roman Bridge. The red of the sky is reflected on the Genil River and the white houses of the Realejo are stained orange.
If you visit Granada, take the opportunity to see the sunsets.
